Okay class, today were gonna make a tutorial on smudging, so get your smudge tool out and get ready for excitment!
What You Will Need.
Basic Photoshop Skills
Smudge Tool Settings Like FER'S.
A Brain
And Two Hands
Let's get this started, Start with a 410x100 Pixel image. That is if you want to the size doesn't really matter, just get some size don't make it too big because smudging a 1200x700 image will make your hand fall out.
Make a gradient and put it on the sig like this;
After that, get out a render and paste it on the sig, do not resize if it does not completely fit the image so that no background is behind then duplicate it and move it around so it does, if is not not completely fit up the image do this until it does. merge all the render layers together but leave 2 un-merged.
Now smudge the two layers and change them to Lighten, You should have something like this.
Next get out gradients that are not complete like this one:
And for every gradient you put on the sig make a new layer after you have made enough gradients like those, Smudge them but do not merge them, your should get something like this:
Now, Were gonna make a cool effect or something :/, Make a new layer, go to Image -> Apply Image After go to Edit -> Transform -> Scale and move it to the bottom left make it look like a rectangle And add an outside 2px Black border, you should get something like this;
Next Make a new layer Image -> Apply Image, Filter -> Sharpen -> Sharpen Sharpening a Signature can make it look really cool! Want Proof?:
See? Now Add some text into It. Don't choose anything uber. it will screw up the signature.
Make a new layer Image -> Apply Image And make a 2px black border and your done!
